Half Dutch, half Scottish, Stuart has edited some of our best films. He has a meticulous attention to detail and the kind of creative lateral thinking that makes it a joy to work with him. Stuart’s intuitive understanding of the people we feature and our shared vision of humanity has created some fantastic sublime moments on the screen. He is methodical, inventive and his sense of humour never leaves him. Who could forget Dear Olive where Stuart edited Louise typing on an old typewriter keyboard in slo mo to Schubert, because the lady couldn’t play the piano as a child. We have spent many long days and nights in the cutting room with Stuart, and all those hours have been filled with great memories of fun and buzzing creativity. Pity he fell in love and moved to Canada!
