Amirani Films was set up in 1993 by brothers Taghi Amirani and Amir Amirani. We specialise in high quality documentary films for a wide range of prestigious international broadcasters in the UK, Europe and America. Our clients include the BBC, Channel 4, ITN, France 2, ARTE, National Geographic TV, Thirteen-WNET and PBS. We are small, but think big. A family business making ground-breaking television guided by solid traditional values.

Amirani’s work is marked by a distinctive vision born out of Amir and Taghi’s passion for human, sensitive and well-crafted filmmaking. While first class documentary lives at the heart of the company, the directors show remarkable versatility by making commercials, radio programmes as well as dramas.

We are committed to nurturing and preserving an intimate easygoing environment, in which small teams are given the opportunity to be creative, have fun, and make films to be proud of. Our productions continue to receive critical acclaim, screen at international festivals and pick up the occasional award. They have been sold to broadcasters in the Far East, Australia, Middle East, Europe and North America.
